Join the Trondhjem Lutheran Church Adult Choir and select instrumentalists for Out of Darkness-Light Begins. The 45-minute concert will feature several movements from Craig Hella Johnson’s concert-length oratorio about the death of Matthew Shepard, a 21-year-old gay man in Wyoming in 1998, as well as “Where the Light Begins” by Susan LaBarr. The concert explores this tragic event and the subsequent healing and reflection that have had and continue to have a profound impact on the way we find ways for love and equality to become dominant aspects of our culture.
